The theme for illustration Friday is swell and I think the belly of my illustration is really swelling. It may be pregnant.

Cruel Summer

This is for the Society of Killustrators challenge to create a new cover for Bananarama's single cruel summer. This how my solution to the problem turned out. My summer seems a little more sad than cruel but Bananarama was way to pop to be cruel. I hope that you enjoy.

The theme of this weeks illustration friday is Journey. Journey makes me think of the band and their logo, produced by Stanley Mouse, so I made my own version of the iconic image.

The theme for this Weeks Illustration Friday was layers and being primarily a digital artist the first thing I thought of was layers in image manipulation software. So I decided to get into illustrator and build something with a ridiculous amount of layers. Unfortunately its really hard to see all the detail in the image I created because of all the small lines. It really needs to be poster sized to truly be appreciated. Used photoshop to add a little background texture.

The theme for this weeks Illustration Friday was Sweater, I did not start out intending to make an image that looked like this but the project took a life of its own and I was really happy with the results.

This week the theme for Illustration Friday is Surrender. Because of all the turmoil in the Egypt I decided to illustrate Hosni Mubarak surrendering. I hope a peaceful transfer of power occurs in Egypt and the people of Egypt establish the kind of government that is best for them.
